I am Marlijn, mom of three sweet boys and I live in Nijmegen with my partner. Ever since high school it has been in the back of my mind to do something in birth care.
After some detours through Nursing and Biology, I decided to become a doula at the end of 2021. The week I enrolled in the program I found out I was expecting our third baby.
What a special time to be expecting and at the same time be so engaged in the matter of becoming a doula! During this pregnancy I was much more aware of the importance of being in control (and allowed to be in control) during childbirth.
After giving birth twice in the hospital, I had our third child via water birth at home.
My mission
It is my mission, by being part of your birthing team, to create the most positive experience together. This starts during pregnancy, when you, with or without your partner, will prepare for the birth of your child together with me. In peace, at your own pace and adapted to your wishes.
All this so you can look forward to the birth with confidence and look back with a positive feeling on one of the most fantastic moments in your life.
